City TV, also known as City of Annapolis television, (COA-TV) is a federally funded station located at 160 Duke of Gloucester Street, and will be moving to the corner of Market and Duke of Gloucester Streets in just a few weeks.

It is a public, educational and government franchise (PEG) broadcasting 24 hours a day, and disseminates public access, educational and government programming on Channel 99/100 for all Comcast subscribers and on channel 34 for all Verizon subscribers.

The on-air schedule hosts a variety of interesting shows. During hours of city government programming, thirty-two programs are shown, enhancing the City’s capability to relay timely information 24/7. All City Council meetings are aired live and repeated later in the week for residents that can not attend regularly scheduled meetings.

One of the government programs is Annapolis City Digest. It is a monthly news magazine that focuses on the news makers in Annapolis, features programs benefiting both residents and businesses, introduces viewers to youth and community programs, gives Recreation and Parks program updates, and spotlights individuals that have made and impact on our community.

With more and more residents using social media networks, Annapolis City Digest can be viewed at blip.tv. If you want an episode automatically sent to your computer, subscribe for a free video podcast available at iTunes.

All government programming can also be viewed online 24/7.

We understand City TV has the capacity to reach every citizen and should be used as a tool to promote various services the city offers. That’s why in between programs, viewers can learn more about where to pay parking tickets, recycling, yard debris pickup, paying bills on-line and much more.

We hope that you will turn to City TV for city and visitor information, updates on government news, educational programming and yes, even the local weather.
